About me

My name is Diana Herrera, and I am the owner of Childcare Business and Administration Consulting LLC.

I have over 15 years of experience in the Childcare industry, most of it on the administration and operational side. Although I did start out in direct service in the classroom, my focus quickly shifted to leading and directing for-profit childcare centers, Head Starts, nonprofits, and city-operated preschools.

Privileged to have learned from, and have been mentored by, ECE's greatest, my priorities center around social-emotional learning, positive behavior support, inclusive classrooms, and equitable practices.

I hold a Bachelor of Science degree in Early Childhood Development, a Master of Arts degree in Administrative Leadership and Policy Studies with an ECE/ECSE concentration, and an ABD (all but dissertation) in EdD in Leadership for Educational Equity (ECE/ECSE concentration). Additionally, I am a graduate of the Buell Early Childhood Leadership Program, cohort 9.

Before working in the childcare industry, I worked in management, human resources, and business administration (fun fact, I'm a Colorado Notary Public!).
